    Catches Bass

Use this as my ultra finesse setup / doubles as sons pole. Mainly run Ned rigs with 1/10 weight head and it’ll destroy bass in ponds and shallower water. Caught more bass on this thing than any other setup this summer ( go figure). Stick with Mono on your reel choice and just let the pole do the work of hook setting because it’s so fast. All you gotta do is feel the bite turn and start reeling in, no ripping lips on this thing.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review! We’re glad to hear this rod has been a great ultra-finesse setup and has even worked well as your son’s fishing rod. It sounds like the combination of a Ned rig and lighter line has been a great match for pond and shallow-water bass. We especially appreciate the tip about letting the fast action of the rod do the work on the hookset. Thanks again for the great feedback, and we hope it continues to put plenty of bass in the boat—or on the bank!

    Great Rod

I have a few of these rods, fish 2-3 days a week. Bass Pike and even Muskie on these things. Super light and feels every bite. I put up against any more expensive rod, my buddies cant believe it when they try them..

    Excellent ultralight rod, good backbone

Fantastic rod if you know how to fish ultralight gear it will last forever. If you think you can take a tiny composite rod like this and pick a fish up into your boat or drag it up on the shore, high stick it etc. you're going to break it every time., and that goes for all "non-noodle" composite ultralight rods. Get a B&M 410 or ugly stick if you want you play rough. I have no problem landing 2lb bass on the Shakespeare micro series 4'6" spinning rod.

I shouldn't have expected 😕 much. Used rod once , gave it to local Arc center. Lesson learned.
